Measurement Boundaries and Engagement Governance
PropLync operates as governance infrastructure. It governs discovery, credential verification, governed visibility parameters, and traceable engagement signals. It does not facilitate transactions.
Terminology on this page aligns with the PropLync Canonical Glossary - the canonical terminology source for the PropLync governance infrastructure. See Canonical Glossary for full term definitions.
This page fulfils PropLync's transparency obligations as governance infrastructure. It defines what is recorded, what is not recorded, how visibility works, and where PropLync's boundaries end. This disclosure clarifies how PropLync measures discovery activity while maintaining strict boundaries between infrastructure measurement and off-platform transactions.
All communication, negotiation, and transactions occur off-platform. PropLync does not certify, endorse, or verify property ownership, legal title, financial return, or investment safety.
PropLync records structured engagement signals within the infrastructure, including:
These signals are Traceable Engagement Signals - system-recorded interactions that exist for infrastructure traceability and governance oversight. They do not determine discovery ordering or visibility parameters.
PropLync does not record:
All transactional activity occurs entirely off-platform. PropLync has no record of, and no role in, any transaction.
Engagement signals are traceable within the infrastructure. They do not determine transaction outcomes, financial performance, discovery ordering, or visibility parameters.
Discovery Ordering: the ordering of eligible discovery results within PropLync is governed by deterministic rules. Ordering may reflect geographic relevance, structured query filters, and publication recency. Ordering is not influenced by advertising expenditure, behavioural profiling, or engagement scoring.
Visibility reflects Governed Visibility parameters - governed eligibility rules. It is not auction-based, bid-based, or algorithmically optimised for sale.
Why Engagement Signals Exist
Engagement signals within PropLync serve one purpose: infrastructure traceability.
Signals are recorded so the governance infrastructure can maintain eligibility oversight - tracking whether professionals and listings are participating consistently within governed rules. They are not collected for advertising, profiling, targeting, or sale to third parties.
Specifically, engagement signals do NOT:
Signal presence in the infrastructure indicates participation activity only. It does not constitute an endorsement, certification, performance measure, or quality rating of any professional or listing.
PropLync operates as Neutral Infrastructure (see Canonical Glossary) - a non-participatory system that governs discovery and traceable engagement while remaining neutral to negotiations, contracts, and transactions.
PropLync does not act as:
Hard Boundaries: PropLync does not process payments, hold escrow, execute contracts, provide closing services, represent buyers or sellers, broker transactions, host messaging systems, host conversation threads, host negotiation interfaces, guarantee investment safety, or guarantee financial return. Transactions occur outside the PropLync system.
